The European Week of Regions and Cities, also previously known as OPEN DAYS, is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The event welcomes more than 6.000 participants each year (local, regional, national and European decision-makers and experts) and 600 speakers from around the world, for more than 100 workshops and debates, exhibitions and networking opportunities in Brussels.
With Martin Brynskov as chair for the Open & Agile Smart Cities, the Scottish OASC network (Scottish Cities Alliance) will this year hold a side event to the European Week of Regions and Cities, called ‘Smart Cities – Smart Ambitions’. Look for more information about this event at OASC’s webpage.
