Inspired by new digital media, the Smart Culture project aims to delve into our cultural heritage. With focus on a wide audience the project intends to transform passive audiences into active practitioners of culture.
The project primarily focuses on enlarging the visibility and accessibility of heritage collections and sites. By fostering relationship between cultural heritage organizations, regional cultural and creative clusters, the project works to promote the creation of engaging digital experiences.
Aarhus University participates in the project with research in the fields of Media Studies, Information Technology, Usability and Participatory Design.
