Center for Participatory IT (PIT) is an interdisciplinary research center at Aarhus University. The center has strong roots in the Scandinavian tradition for Participatory Design, which combines the fields of technology development and use with a broad interest in participative practices. In brief, PIT explores how and when to bring values and practices of participatory processes into the design and use of IT.
PIT has a superior goal in establishing a new interdisciplinary research foundation for participatory IT. The aim is to position the center internationally as one of the top-five research groups in the field.
