Wanna hear more about AU's activities in the field of smart cities? And what are smart cities anyway? Sign up for this light-weight seminar to hear more and to meet others who are also interested.

AU Smart Cities is an effort to strengthen smart city activities involving AU employees, by helping and coordinating initiatives within research, education and knowledge partnerships.

At the seminar you will hear briefly about what's already going on, and how AUSC may be of help. Examples include ways to obtain funding for creating proposals; existing strategic partnerships locally, nationally and internationally; partnership instruments to strengthen proposals and to focus dissemination activities; and much more.

You will meet colleagues from all four main areas at AU, either actively involved or just looking to see what's going.

You will also hear about initiatives such as Smart Aarhus, Internet Week Denmark, Open Data Aarhus, the Danish Smart City Network, upcoming workshops and guest lectures.

Among the speakers are:

  • Mogens Nielsen, vice-dean of research, Science and Technology
  • Ole Lehrmann Madsen, CEO, Alexandra Institute
  • Adriënne Heijnen, senior research policy adviser, AU Research & Talent
  • Mai Skou Wihlborg, project manager, Internet Week Denmark, Seismonaut
  • Kenneth Junge Hermannsen, Nordic Innovators
  • Martin Brynskov, academic coordinator, AU Smart Cities

Registration is free but mandatory, and includes a lunch and coffee. Link to registration.

The meeting will take place at the IT Park Katrinebjerg, Åbogade 34, 8200 Aarhus N. The room number is "Ada 333". Easiest entrance is from Helsingforsgade 14. Look for the signs.
